Voting and community signals

Parallect isn't only about reading finished reports -- it invites you to steer what gets researched next and to signal how convincing claims are. This page covers follow-on voting, quick actions like Research this, Notify me, and claim voting on individual statements.

Voting on follow-on suggestions

On reports, you may see suggested follow-on topics -- next questions worth exploring. You can vote on these suggestions to raise the ones you want prioritized. Higher-signal suggestions help authors and readers see where interest clusters.

Use votes honestly: they're a lightweight way to coordinate what should be researched next, not a popularity contest for its own sake.

When you spot a direction that deserves its own thread, Research this (or equivalent) lets you start new research from the report context. It's the bridge between "this made me think of X" and an actual Parallect run -- so good follow-ons can become real investigations.

Claim voting (Likert scale)

Synthesis surfaces claims -- concise statements backed by the combined provider work. You can rate how much you agree with each claim using a Likert scale:

  • Strongly Disagree
  • Disagree
  • Agree
  • Strongly Agree

Your ratings help the community see which claims resonate or feel shaky to readers.

Claim voting is about your read on the written synthesis. If something feels overstated or well supported, your vote helps others see that perspective.

"Notify me" for follow-on research

When follow-on work is planned or suggested, Notify me lets you opt in to updates when that thread or direction progresses -- so you don't have to keep checking back manually. Toggle it when you want to stay in the loop on a specific follow-on without following every move an author makes.
