Following researchers

Follow researchers from profiles or reports, use your Following feed, unfollow, and discover people via the Reports page and trending sidebar.

Following researchers

After you've set up your public profile, following is how you stay connected to researchers whose work you care about. You can follow from profiles or from reports, browse a dedicated feed, and discover new people from the broader Reports experience.

Following from profiles or reports

From a profile: Open anyone's public profile page and use follow to subscribe to their published activity. If you already follow them, you'll see the option to unfollow instead.

From reports: When you read a report, you can follow the author directly from that context -- useful when a single piece of work convinces you to track their future publishes.

The Following feed

Your Following feed surfaces published reports from people you follow. It's the quickest way to catch new work without visiting each profile -- think of it as your community timeline for Parallect research.

Open it from the app navigation when you want a focused stream; it complements the broader discovery surfaces described below.

Unfollowing

You can unfollow at any time from the same place you followed -- typically the researcher's profile. Unfollowing stops their new publishes from appearing in your Following feed; it doesn't remove past interactions elsewhere in the product.

Discovering researchers

Two habits help you grow your network:

  1. Reports page -- Browse published work; strong reports often lead to authors worth following.
  2. Trending researchers sidebar -- On the Reports page, watch the trending researchers sidebar for active voices the community is engaging with -- an easy way to find people aligned with popular topics.

Following is one-on-one and opt-in: you choose whose publishes appear in your feed, and others do the same for you.
